    Sedation Information

    Sedation will provide you a way of getting your dental work done while totally relaxed and completely comfortable.Sedation is achieved with the use of various oral sedatives (i.e. triazolam, midazolam, lorazepam and hydroxyzine) and nitrous oxide or what is commonly called laughing gas.Sedation is NOT general anesthesia.Sedation allows you to be conscious and responsive.You will be very sleepy and relaxed.You will be able to verbalize your needs and wants.You will be monitored during your entire appointment with blood pressure and pulse oximetry.Someone will be with you at all times.The sedatives used are amnesiacs — you will have little or no memory of the experience.The sedatives used relax your nervous system so you will feel little discomfort and will probably not need any pain medication post-operatively.You will continue to relax the rest of the day and into the evening and responsible companion should be with you until the following day.
    Financial Information

    The doctors will provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan and will have advised you concerning fees and scheduling.Your total fee for each sedation appointment is due at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment.If the fee is not paid 2 weeks in advance your appointment reservation will be cancelled.You may use cash, check, Care Credit. When you pay with cash or check you may deduct 5% as a courtesy bookkeeping deduction.Care Credit is a third party financing plans that have been used by many patients and allow you to spread your payments out over time. We have no in-house financing available.Care Credit has 6 and 12-month interest free payment plans for qualified applicants. To qualify for the 6 months interest free plan requires a charge of $700 or more; and 12 months requires a charge of $1000 or more.Care Credit also has interest accrual accounts for qualified individuals that allow you to spread your payments out from 12 to 60 months and interest rates for qualifying individuals can be as low as 5.9%.With Care Credit, should you not pay off the balance within the specified time frame the companies will charge a very hefty interest rate that is retroactive to the date of the charge.You may apply for these plans over the telephone or via the internet.
